Emerson Temp to Hire Conversion Rate 75%

In a blog post released today, Careerbuilder.com highlights that “36% of companies will lean on temporary workers to support slim staffs” in 2012. The number of companies relying on temporary workers has risen steadily since 2009.  As the economy slowly recovers, companies need additional staff, but are hesitant to bring on full time employees with benefits. Going the temporary or temp-to-hire route gives employers the staffing support they need while providing an opportunity to meet workers they might like to bring on permanently.  For candidates, temporary opportunities provide a paycheck, an opportunity to gain new skill sets, and a chance to investigate companies they might not be familiar with.

Emerson Personnel Group provides companies all across South Jersey and Philadelphia with temporary and temp-to-hire staff. Clients and candidates often ask:

How many of your temporary opportunities go permanent?

Based on all of the temp-to-perm opportunities Emerson has staffed in 2011, 75% have either converted to a full time, permanent position or are still on-going. That’s three out of four people landing a permanent job by taking on a temp assignment.

What should this tell you?

This should tell you two things.

One – Emerson Personnel is deeply committed to helping everyone become more successful. We listen to our clients and our candidates’ needs. We place the right people in the right opportunities. If we didn’t, our success rate wouldn’t be so high.

Two – Unemployed job seekers should consider temp and temp-to-hire opportunities. No, there are no guarantees and they don’t pay benefits but temp opportunities do open doors, create income, and can be a bridge to your next permanent job. Three out of four Emerson employees would agree.
