Emerson Group Takes the Plunge for Special Olympics at Citizens Bank Park
Saturday, February 21, 2026 members of Emerson Recruiting Group proudly participated in the annual Polar Bear Plunge benefiting the nonprofit organization Special Olympics Pennsylvania and yes, it was as cold as it sounds!
Held at Citizens Bank Park, the event brought together individuals and organizations from across the Greater Philadelphia community to raise awareness and funds in support of athletes with intellectual disabilities. The energy was high, the mission was meaningful, and the water… was freezing.
Representing our team on-site were Bill Emerson, Flo Ryan, and Karen Miller who cheered from the sidelines as Will Emerson, Matt Emerson, and Gregg Podolski bravely took the plunge jumping straight into the icy pool for an incredible cause. The Polar Plunge is Special Olympics Pennsylvania’s biggest fundraiser – with more than 30 plunges with thousands of participants jumping in around the state. All the money raised helps provide free year-round sports training and competition opportunities to more than 15,000 athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the state.
