Sorting Stories. Sharing Smiles.

Emerson Recruiting Group recently spent a few hours volunteering by sorting books at BookSmiles, a nonprofit organization started by Founder Larry Abrams The nonprofit is dedicated to helping children in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs build personal libraries and develop a lifelong love of reading. Through donations, BookSmiles supports students, families, and educators while helping lay the foundation for academic success, processing and distributing over 1,000,000 used children’s books each year!

“Having worked as a special education teacher and coach before joining the family business, I’ve seen firsthand how important access to books and educational resources can be for children,” said Matt Emerson, Director of Business Development. “Organizations like BookSmiles make a real difference in young lives, and we’re proud to support their mission and give back to the community.”
