Passing of Emerson Group’s founder, Annette Streeter Emerson

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Emerson Group’s founder, Annette Emerson on Sunday, February 20, 2022.  Annette was 91 and a longtime Moorestown, NJ resident.

In 1971 Annette with her husband Skip purchased a Dunhill Personnel franchise and immediately set out to become leaders in the staffing industry in South Jersey and Philadelphia.  In 1990 a second generation of the Emerson family, her son Bill joined the business as an Executive Recruiter then stepped in as President when Annette and Skip retired in 1998.

Annette was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, William (Skip) Emerson.  She is survived by four sons and daughters-in- laws, Stephen (Mary) of Moorestown, Douglas (Cecilia) of Boulder CO, Matthew (Heather) of Anchorage AK, and William (Annemarie) of Moorestown.  Survived by seven grandchildren, Luke, Matthew, Rachel, Noah, William, Nicholas, and Luke Matthew.

Annette was born and raised in Syracuse, NY and graduated from Syracuse University.  She obtained her Master’s degree from Union Theological Seminary and Columbia University, NYC with a degree in Christian education.  She held positions of Director of Education at the Roslyn Presbyterian Church, Roslyn NY and the Robinson Memorial Church, Syracuse, NY.
