Emerson Personnel Group Celebrates Forty Years in Business

From pulling weeds at Xerox to placing high level executive assistants, Emerson Personnel Group (EPG) has filled many different positions through their forty years of service. “The most important things were always honesty, caring about our clients and candidates, and working hard,” says Annette Emerson. Skip and Annette Emerson are the founders of the namesake employment agency.

EPG began its journey in 1971 as a Dunhill franchise. “When we started out, we each had a desk, a phone, and a Yellow Pages phone book. I would make 50 calls a day. It was just gut work,” remarks Annette. In 2001, the Emerson family decided it was time to become independent and the reformed business was named Emerson Personnel Group. Through the years, Emerson Personnel Group has grown into one of South Jersey’s most trusted employment agencies.

“We are celebrating forty years of staffing excellence, but we are also honoring all the clients and candidates we have been fortunate to help over the years.  Our mission has always been to help others become more successful. Forty years is a perfect time to commemorate the past, celebrate the present, and look toward the future,” said Bill Emerson, President and CEO.

To observe this landmark anniversary, Emerson hosted a seminar and cocktail party for clients and friends. The fortieth anniversary celebration, held at Mount Laurel’s Enterprise Center on Wednesday, November 30th, 2011 drew many guests. Attendees enjoyed an evening that included an employment law seminar by Lou Lessig of Brown & Connery, LLP, a lovely reception catered by Flik Conference Centers and entertainment by Bryan McCabe.

Some guests remarked on their relationship with the Emerson’s over the years.

“As I met and spoke with the other Emerson clients it was very evident that everyone feels as I do, that Emerson treats each one of us as though we are their most important customer.  It speaks well for the organization,” stated Carol Adams, National Sales Manager for Franklin Machine Products.

Leanne Cindea, of Laurel Benefits also commented, “Congrats EPG on forty successful years of business! The celebration was a wonderful reflection of your most prominent attributes of integrity, professionalism, and a culture of caring for your clients and your employees. I know this is why Emerson Personnel Group has been and will continue to be successful.”
